Tip 58. Detect allergies
b
y
taking
the pulse.
Another way to detect t
h
e cause of
a
llergy is by Dr. Coca's "pulse test."
The method is as follows:
Check your pulse before a meal. Then limiting t
h
at meal to one food only, wit for half
an hour after eating
and take your pulse ag
a
in.
A slight i
n
crease is
considered normal, even up
to 16 extra beats. If your pulse does
not rise above 84, you may be
a
llergy-free. But if your pulse ris
e
s
b
eyond that point, and r
e
mains high
an hour aft
e
r the meal, you have found your food allergy.
The best way, however,
to prevent or overcome
allergies
is
t
o strengthen
the overall physical resistance so as not to
f
all an easy
prey to every allergen that comes along. To sta
r
t with, the patient sho
u
ld fast on fr

s
h fruit juic
e
s
for four or
five days. Repeated sh
o
rt juice f
a
sts are likely
to result in
b
etter tolera
n
ce to previous allergi
e
s.
After the fruit juice f
a
st,
t
he patient can take a mono diet of vegetables or
fruits s
u
ch
as carrots, grapes or
a
pples, for o
n
e week. After that one more food is
a
dded to the
mono diet. A week
later the thi
r
d food is a
d
ded and so
on. After four weeks, the protein foo
d
s can be int
r
oduced, one at a time.
In case an
a
llergic re
a
c
tion to a newly introduced food is noticed, it sho
u
ld be discon
t
inued and
a new food tried. In this
way all real allergens c
a
n be eventually eliminated from the diet.
Tip 59. Do not re

Diet is not t

e only nature cure for c
a
taracts.
Simultaneous with the dietary treatment, the patient should
a
dopt various methods of relaxing and strengt
h
ening the eyes. These i
n
clude moving the eyes gently up and down, from
side to side and in
a circle,
clockwise and counter clockwise; rotati

and briskly
moving the
shoulders
clockwise and counter cl
o
ckwise.
The patient
should also
resort to palming which is highly be
n
eficial
in r
e
moving strain and relaxing the eyes and its surrounding tissues.

Regular drinking of wat

t
he system, diluting the

taken daily
as it is ess

Water should, however,
not be taken with meals as
